Community Involvement
Petutopia
In November Concord teamed up with local architect Corgan & Associates to design and build a doghouse to benefit the Lost Our Home Pet Foundation. All materials for the doghouse were donated by local subcontractors and build time was donated by one of our superintendents. Together our team, along with 8 other teams, built a doghouse for a large dog to auction off at the Foundations charity event. Our house successfully raised $380 for the local charity and gave “mans best friend” a safe and happy home.
Backpack Drive
As an Arizona contractor we are focused on building schools for the future and supporting the children who attend the facilities. Each year we hold an annual backpack drive for multiple school districts within the State of Arizona in order to provide students with the materials necessary for the school year. Last year our employees, teaming with our subcontractors, were able to collect over 2,000 pieces of school supplies for the start of the new school year.
Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate homelessness and poverty by providing safe, decent, and affordable housing. Through volunteer donations of materials, money, and labor, Habitat for Humanity has been able to build over 250,000 houses around the world in more than 3,000 communities. Concord has donated both labor and funding by sponsoring three houses in the past three years. Habitat for Humanity allows for us to continue our mission of “Building Foundations of Trust” and support local organizations that help build our communities.
PASS (Partners Advancing Student Success)
Most students will spend more than a third of their lives in a diverse and constantly changing workplace. In today’s ever-changing environment students must demonstrate proficiency both in academics and workplace standards such as oral, written, and listening skills, critical and creative thinking, and technological literacy. Each summer, the PASS Program brings educators from across the Valley together for one week to visit several companies, in many industries, to learn about the multiple workplace skills needed in today’s workplace. Concord has been a participant in the PASS Program for several years, taking educators to a job site to learn about the process of building and the skills needed to perform the job.
University of Arizona, College of Architecture
Each year Concord sponsors a scholarship/cash award given to an outstanding architecture or landscape architecture student. Interested students submit a portfolio of their design work which is judged by a jury of architects and contractors who award the scholarship to the student with the best portfolio.
Adopt-A-Family
Concord’s strategic objective to be a community-involved organization is carried out by each employee within the organization. This past holiday season Concord’s employees came together to “adopt” a family that was struggling with hardships. Employees donated gift certificates, new clothes and toys, and cash to the family so they could have the holiday season they deserved.
United Food Bank Drive
Staying close to our roots and helping the community where we live and work, Concord held a food drive to help the United Food Bank stock their shelves for the holiday season. Using the same teamwork we dedicate to our projects, the employees of Concord and our partnering subcontractors came together to donate 356 pounds of food during a 4-week period.
