About Concord

Our Foundation

Our Founders

After relocating from Iowa, Jim and Gary Jackson perceived the need for a construction firm that operated with a high level of integrity. Incorporating their Midwest roots by instilling a reputation for fine craftsmanship and honest dealings, they established Concord General Contracting in 1972 in Mesa, Arizona. Together, they built Concord to be who we are today; a firm that has developed a long list of satisfied customers based on our partnering approach with clients. With over 35 years in the business, our team continues to be committed to the founding philosophy of quality, integrity, and unity. Thanks to Jim and Gary’s efforts, Concord has grown into a statewide enterprise offering a wide variety of construction services.

“Our commitment to teamwork is exemplified by our company name – Concord means ‘with unity and harmony.’”

Jim Jackson, Founder, 1949 – 2002

Who we are Today

Building on our history and seeing an opportunity for growth, Concord opened an office in Tucson, Arizona in 1993. Our philosophy of partnering has allowed us to become a leader in the negotiated and CM@Risk delivery methods. With over 110 projects and 50 different clients since 2000 alone, Concord has successfully completed a variety of work from educational, religious, medical, municipal, historic renovation, and green building projects. We offer a variety of construction services, including the construction manager at risk, design build, negotiated GMP, and competitive bid delivery methods, serving clients in numerous markets, in all corners of the state.

“Building relationships is the foundation of Concord. That’s why we always do the right thing, and keep our promise.”

Gary Jackson, Chairman, Founding Partner
