LEED Accredited Professionals
The environment and energy efficiency has moved to the forefront of priorities within the architecture and construction industry. Concord has 12 LEED® Accredited Professionals on staff that are committed to always looking for ways to incorporate Green Building techniques into every facility. In addition to our LEED® Accredited Professionals on staff, we are a member of the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council).
Promotions
Concord General Contracting, Inc. promoted two employees within the Mesa office. Jason Beaver has been promoted to Vice President and will be responsible for the oversight and performance of all functions of business, including operations, preconstruction, estimating, and business development. Grenee Martacho has been promoted to Director of Business Development and will oversee the business development efforts for the Mesa office and continue to manage company-wide marketing for Concord General Contracting, Inc.
Cornerstone Building Foundation General Contractor of the Year
The annual Cornerstone Building Foundation Awards Event recognizes a “dream team” chosen by votes from the construction community. Concord General Contracting was chosen as the 2010 General Contractor of Year for projects in excess of $2 million. The Cornerstone Foundation is made up of owners, architects, suppliers, consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors in the greater Southern Arizona area.

The annual 2009 Phoenix Business Journal Book of Lists ranked Concord General Contracting as the 26th General Contractor in Arizona based on billings for buildings built in Arizona. The Book of Lists provides readers with a report on top Arizona businesses in more than 255 industry categories and market segments.

Concord General Contracting was named the #5 Contractor with staff of 46-119 for 2009. Each year Ranking Arizona turns to their readers and residents of Arizona to rank The Best of Arizona Business. Participants vote and base their opinions on the quality of products, services, and their people.
Phoenix Concord Superintendents and Project Managers OSHA 30-Hour Certified
In our continual efforts to increase job safety awareness, Concord’s Phoenix Project Managers and Superintendents were OSHA 30-Hour Certified. Designed to help recognize safety and health hazards on the construction site, Concord is one of the few contractors that offers owners with the commitment to safety by certifying each of their Project Managers and Superintendents.
Bioscience High School highlighted by Southwest Contractor Magazine
Bioscience High School was recently highlighted by Southwest Contractor Magazine as a school that demonstrates the ever-changing strategy and technology in school construction. This $11.2 million structure was built to reinvent the way students at the high school level learn about math and science.
